Inclement Weather Procedures

If you haven’t already noticed, winter is upon us!

Here are the procedures Undercroft administration will follow in order to communicate about a school closing:

When inclement weather conditions create dangerous driving conditions for our families and staff, UMS administration will make an announcement that classes have been cancelled. Every effort will be made to announce such cancellations the night before. If this is not possible, families and staff will be notified by 6 AM the day of a school closing.

Communication about our school closing will come through three avenues:

1. Local television news channels: 2, 6 and 8
2. A phone call from Undercroft administration through AlertNow messaging service.
3. Information will be posted on our school website: www.undercroft.org

Please note that the Administrative Offices will also be closed when classes are cancelled.

When classes resume, administration will communicate this information through a second AlertNow phone message, as well as post it to our website home page.

If you have made changes in your phone number as recently as December, please contact Amy Langham with this information so you will be certain to receive an AlertNow message. If for some reason on the day UMS closes you do not receive a message from AlertNow, please contact Amy so we correct this.
