Kathy Law – Executive DirectorKathy has a background in teaching, educational leadership and in non-profit management. She earned a Minor in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. Professionally, she taught eight years in grades K-12 Spanish and English, as well as worked with on several curriculum design, writing and implementation projects. Kathy’s most recent work was in nonprofit management and fundraising. While in graduate school, Kathy studied the teachings of Maria Montessori and was profoundly impacted by Montessori’s work. The love of the Montessori Method is what drew her to Undercroft. Kathy and her husband, Scot, have two children–Arianna and Maryn. Arianna is a primary student at Undercroft and Maryn will join her sister and Mommy at school when she turns 3. |
Nancy Davis – Montessori AdvisorNancy joined the UMS administrative staff in August, 2009, and is its newest member. She first discovered Montessori education in 1986 when her son began attending a small Montessori school. Like many parents, she loved what she saw happening there and decided to pursue her Montessori training. She received her certification in San Diego and has taught children from Primary through Upper Elementary. She served as a Montessori consultant for a public magnet program in North Carolina and, after receiving her state certification, served as principal of that same school. During that time, Nancy also earned her Master’s Degree in School Administration. A move to Illinois led to an administrative position overseeing the operations and educational programs of a network of retreat/conferences centers across the U.S. Nancy, along with her husband and daughter, have now relocated to Tulsa and Nancy says she is delighted to be returning to a Montessori setting as well as to be close to their son and new daughter-in-law who have settled in Tulsa. |

Mary Clare – Coordinator of ServicesMary has worked in the Administrative Office at Undercroft since 1992. She is married and has two ‘beautiful and wonderful’ children. She and her family live in the rural community of Sperry and enjoy being outdoors and showing livestock. |
Amy Langham – ReceptionistAmy first began her journey with Undercroft as a parent and volunteer in 2005. Since then both sons Gavin and Grayson have attended UMS and continue to do so. Her role extended to room representative and when the position came available for Receptionist in 2006, she joined the UMS administration staff. Amy brings to UMS her extensive experience in office management in medical, legal, and Information Technology organizations, as well as her Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. Amy has also applied her experience with event planning and corporate IT systems to expand her role to include UNDERcurrents editor, student database maintenance, student records management, and parent/guide liaison. |

Karen Roubal – Accounting ManagerKaren is in her 4th year as Accounting Manager at UMS, coming to Undercroft in the spring of 2006. She graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1993 with a BA in Communication and obtained accounting/HR experience over the last 9 years with various companies in Tulsa and Santa Monica. In addition to accounting, Karen has an extensive background in dance and teaches the after-school Primary children’s ballet class. Her son, Zachary, is in his third year of Primary in Mrs. Karmazin and Ms. Mia’s classroom. |
Debbie Redmond – Administrative AssistantLike many UMS staff members, Debbie was first an Undercroft parent and volunteer. She joined the office staff in January, 2009. Her work experience includes 10 years in banking with various companies and 5 years as an accounting assistant for Mary Kay Cosmetics in Dallas. She and her husband, Doug, are both originally from Tulsa but have lived in Louisiana and Texas before returning to Oklahoma in 2001. They have been married for 20 years and have two children, Sarah (age 10) in Upper Elementary and Shane (age 7) in Lower Elementary. |

Danny Millspaugh – Assistant Coordinator of Services & Middle School Rock BandDanny spent a cumulative time of more than 20 years making and installing architectural graphics. While using techniques such as silk-screening, casting & mold making, etching, and CNC machining, he helped produce many of the signs and graphics displays you visit at our local museums, schools, offices, and hospitals. Much of this work included extended travel to iconic resort destinations both inside and outside the United States. Music is an ongoing pursuit for Danny he began at home by playing both Bass and Guitar in a family setting, followed by time spent in Punk/New Wave/Rock –type bands. He used this experience in bands to gain work as an audio engineer, ultimately working to support iconic musicians of many genres both in Tulsa and regionally. You may still find him playing occasionally in roots music projects or find him watching almost any genre of live music. In his years at Undercroft, Danny has worked with the Middle School Class and after school Rock Band and, beginning this year, assists Mary Clare in the coordination of on campus projects and services. |
