Give to Undercroft’s Playscape Fund

Imagine your most carefree days. Were you catching insects for further inspection? Digging to the next continent? Riding bikes with abandon? Conversing on the Mimosa branch? Or, just enjoying the moment? Kids will be kids.

The UMS Natural Playscape extends beyond a playground by allowing children to freely explore nature. Our playscape is being built to honor children and to authenticate play at all ages by creating a one-of-a-kind outdoor environment unique to Tulsa.

We are nearing completion of Phase I, which is very exciting. As you will see from the pictures below, we have poured the skateboarding pad, the patio and basketball/volleyball court. Sand Canyon is complete, filled with sand and wonderful digging treasures. The amphitheater is almost complete, and sod will soon be laid to form the soccer field and other grassy areas around the playscape where children will be able to run freely. Thank you to each individual, family and friend who generously contributed to this wonderful natural playscape.

In order to finish Phase I, we need to raise an additional $45,000. Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to Undercroft and designate it to the playscape. We also need partners to join with us to green the playscape with garden plants, trees and a water feature. We have playhouses to build, 100 newly donated trees to plant, and play equipment to purchase.  Stay tuned for playscape gardening days.  Gardening together is a wonderful way for the entire family to make a significant contribution to their school.
