Mason Jar Fundraiser!

Around this time of year, each class is usually working on a mason jar project, helping to fill and decorate a dessert, snack mix, or other creative concoction to sell on Folk’s Day, typically held in November. These jars along with the bake sale have always been a successful fundraiser for our school. Since we did not have Folk’s Day or the bake sale this year, the mason jar fundraiser is especially important though will look a bit different. Each classroom will be creating and selling their mason jars within each classroom to be purchased and taken home just before Winter Break. Be on the lookout for more information from your CBC classroom room representatives via email. Sales will begin on November 29th and close on December 10th. The delivery deadline is December 17th. School Pictures with Lynn Taylor

ALL classroom group photos will be taken on Tuesday, October 5th (they have been rescheduled from September 29th due to rain). *EC-NW (Lynnah/Kalee’s) individual student photos are rescheduled for Monday, October 4th!* (Any student who has missed their picture day and needs a make-up photo, Monday, October 4th is the last day our photographer will be set up for individual photos. Please plan to have their make-up photo taken by having them go straight to the photo location between the Fine Arts and West Building first thing after carpool drop off on Monday morning or we will not have their photo for the Undercroft yearbook). School Pictures with Lynn Taylor begin September 13th, SEE SCHEDULE BELOW. Please arrive on time in the mornings for carpool! (Make up photos will be taken on the next available calendar date and fit in with another class). Additionally, family portraits are offered by Lynn Taylor at the Tulsa Garden Center, Woodward Park and Ray Harral Nature Park in Broken Arrow. This year Lynn is offering several dates and times available for individual family portraits. Please reserve a time HERE for your complimentary photo session; families will choose from several poses and packages online for purchase. School Pictures General Info: Lynn Taylor is returning as our school photographer this year, and does an excellent job with our students, and provides parents with an outstanding selection of proofs from which to choose. On the day your child’s class is scheduled (see schedule above), Lynn will take their individual portraits for our yearbook (group photos for all classes are scheduled for September 29th). You will receive a sheet of index prints as ‘proofs’, and an order form to be completed and returned with your payment to Lynn Taylor Photography. The pictures are offered to parents at Lynn’s cost. Undercroft does not profit from this service. Soon after the end of all sessions, parents will be provided with a proof envelope. Parents then choose favorite selections and remit payment with the return of the proof envelope. All proof packages for Undercroft will be sent to the lab together. Normal lab time is four to six weeks. Please note that you are not obligated to make a purchase – your child’s picture will appear in the yearbook even if you decide not to order a package. Lynn Taylor chooses the picture for the yearbook. Volunteers Needed to Assist!! We need at least 2 adult helpers per classroom to escort students and assist the photographer as needed. If you are available during your child’s scheduled time, please contact Sasha.Coon@Undercroft.org. Helpful Hints for a Great Picture Day: Please remember that deeper and brighter colors photograph best. Avoid whites and pastels.  Lynn Taylor and her staff will be following CDC guidelines to keep our students and staff safe. See her plan below:

Playscape Pizza & Movie Night (childcare during parent workshop)

Middle School will be hosting “Playscape Pizza & Movie Night” as childcare for UMS enrolled students during the workshop. Reservations are required and the cost is $25 per child. Please download and fill out the attached form and return it to the office by August 2nd. Hard copies only please (and are available in the office for your convenience). Cash and checks only. Undercroft Middle School operates several business ventures throughout the school year, including Peace, Love, and Honey (honey sales featuring pure raw honey from Tulsa bees), Kids’ Camps (typically held throughout the year during conferences and summer school), annual book fairs, and Kids Kreations fundraiser. For each business, our middle school students learn important life skills by operating all aspects of each business. All proceeds benefit the middle school business program, which raises money for middle school adventure trips as part of their curriculum.
